Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Airport-Arusha
Upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro/Arusha airport, you will be welcomed by our Professional Tour Guide, heading to Arusha dinner and overnight while preparing yourself for the safari. The real African adventure starts from here
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
Embark on a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, known for its abundance of hippos, elephant, buffalo, flamingos and superb varieties of birdlife. Mahogany, sausage tree and croton are alive with blue monkeys and Vervet monkeys. Lake Manyara is also known for its “tree climbing” lions.
Look up in the trees and you might be lucky to spot one. Stop back at the lodge for dinner and overnight before the safari trail continues the next morning to Serengeti National Park. Marvel at the panoramic views of the great Serengeti plains.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we will leave the lodge heading to the Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the game drive, the park is the best and most popular destination for the Great Migration (Wildebeest Migration). Serengeti has more concentration of wild animals than any other park in Africa.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park / Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
Depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park whilst driving to Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a World Heritage Site, and the largest intact crater in the world.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
Descend over 600 meters to the floor of the crater for a day tour with picnic lunches. Grassland blends into swamps, lakes, rivers, woodland and mountains – all a haven for wildlife, including the greatest predator population in Africa. The volcanic crater is jam packed with wildlife. Its pride and joy, however, is that it remains the last great wild refuge for black rhino. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt. Search for black rhino, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, hyena, hippos, giraffes, antelope, and rare leopards.
Day 6: Depart
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Enjoy lunch in Arusha town and this marks the end of your Tanzanian safari. Extension to Zanzibar is an option.
